Role Summary

The Senior Director, Global Market Access- Oncology Thoracic Antibodies and Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs), will lead BioNTech’s global market access and pricing strategies for Antibody and ADC platforms across Women’s and Colorectal tumor types, including but not limited to Breast, Endometrial, Colorectal, Ovarian, Cervical and Melanoma cancers. This role is part of the Global Value, Access, Pricing & Policy (GVAPP) team and will serve as the global market access strategy lead for these indications for BNT327/PM8002, as well as ADCs and novel-novel combinations. Location options: London, UK; New York or New Jersey, US; Mainz, Munich or Berlin, Germany.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of BioNTech’s market access strategies for antibodies, ADCs, and novel-novel combinations across the product lifecycle for Women’s and Colorectal tumor types
  • Collaborate with Global Pricing Leads, Policy and HEOR colleagues to contribute to integrated Global Value, Access, Pricing & Policy (GVAPP) strategies
  • Provide key insights on market access, pricing and policy to cross-functional teams including alliance teams, clinical development, and corporate strategy
  • Review commercialization strategies and identify opportunities from an access, pricing and policy perspective; run Global Market Access research projects and lead value and access assessments to inform financial forecasting, business development, and strategy development
  • Develop and lead fully integrated access strategies by aligning market access, pricing, HEOR, evidence planning, payer value communication, and stakeholder management plans

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree; minimum of 12+ years of experience in global market access and pricing within pharmaceutical/biotech companies and/or consulting, with proven launch experience and a track record of developing and executing integrated access strategies
  • Required: Extensive experience creating global market access strategies that optimize patient access to immuno-oncology medicines (e.g., PD-(L)1 therapies) at prices reflecting holistic value, including life-cycle management across multiple indications and combinations
  • Required: Deep knowledge of global pricing, HTA, clinical development, payer organization methods and processes; experience navigating complex systems worldwide
  • Required: Established network of relationships with key stakeholders and organizations that influence value assessment and reimbursement decisions
  • Required: Experience engaging HTA and payer organizations in early scientific advice to inform clinical development strategies and trial designs
  • Preferred: Regional and/or country-level experience; knowledge of EU HTA centralization methods and processes
  • Required: Demonstrated experience building and enhancing market access and pricing strategy capabilities; strong teamwork, partnering, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Required: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in Health Economics, Health Policy, Health Systems, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Biotechnology; proficiency in a second language
