Role Summary

Senior Director, Global Market Access- Oncology Thoracic Antibodies and ADCs leads BioNTech’s global market access and pricing strategies for antibody and ADC platforms across thoracic tumor types, collaborating within the GVAPP team to deliver value evidence packages and optimize patient access.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of market access strategies for antibodies, ADCs, and novel-novel combinations across the product lifecycle for thoracic tumor types (e.g., NSCLC, SCLC, HNSCC, GBM, Mesothelioma)
  • Collaborate with Global Pricing Leads, Policy and HEOR to contribute to integrated GVAPP strategies
  • Provide insights on market access, pricing and policy to cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic patient-centric access approach
  • Oversight of Global Market Access research projects and value/access assessments to inform financial forecasting, business development, and strategy
  • Develop and lead integrated access strategies aligning market access, pricing, HEOR, evidence planning, payer value communication, and stakeholder management
  • Develop payer value propositions and resources reflecting holistic value to enable early evidence and engagement planning
  • Partner with Pricing Leads, Regulatory, and Commercial to optimize launch sequencing and reimbursement strategies
  • Educate internal stakeholders on access and reimbursement risks and opportunities for oncology assets
  • Support innovative pricing, reimbursement, and contracting solutions for novel-novel combinations
  • Support Global Pricing governance and inform clinical development plans, trial designs, and SKU strategies
  • Monitor global pricing trends and regulations; educate internal colleagues and leaders on market access environment
  • Leverage external policy environment knowledge to optimize evidence development and differentiate the oncology portfolio
  • Plan, manage, and track consultants, agencies, and budget requirements to ensure cost-effective execution

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years in global market access and pricing within pharmaceutical/biotech companies and/or consulting, with proven launch experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required; post-graduate degree preferred in Health Economics, Health Policy, Health Systems, Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or MBA
  • Extensive experience creating global market access strategies for immuno-oncology medicines across indications and combinations
  • Deep knowledge of global pricing, HTA, clinical development, payer processes; ability to navigate complex systems worldwide
  • Established network with key stakeholders influencing value assessment and reimbursement decisions
  • Experience engaging HTA and payer organizations in early scientific advice
  • Regional/country-level experience preferred, including EU HTA centralization methods
  • Experience building and enhancing market access and pricing capabilities; strong teamwork and communication
  • Strategic, analytical, and negotiation skills with understanding of HTA requirements in a global context
  • Leadership and mentoring experience across matrix teams
  • Excellent English communication skills; second language is a plus
