Position Summary
- Lead worldwide IT infrastructure strategy and deliver reliable, high-performance end-user experiences across the US and China.
- Own end-to-end delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure (Microsoft Cloud services, collaboration platforms, business-critical systems) and lead global Service Management/Helpdesk.

Responsibilities
- Own global IT infrastructure architecture/design/modernization/operations (cloud, high-performance networking, compute clusters, storage, endpoints, identity, collaboration).
- Lead Microsoft-centric services (Microsoft 365, Intune, endpoint management) and ensure readiness for heavy AI tool usage.
- Build scalable AI-ready foundations (GPU/accelerated compute, dataset/model storage, low-latency networking, elastic scaling across providers as needed).
- Drive simplification/standardization, disaster recovery, business continuity, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GxP/SOX if applicable).
- Architect/manage global networking; oversee Fortinet/Cisco/Meraki and SD-WAN; implement IPLC/MPLS/dedicated links; lead ZTNA and secure web gateways (e.g., Zscaler); manage always-on VPN/remote access.
- Own enterprise security stack (NG firewalls, IPS, EDR, UTM); enforce secure-by-design (encryption, identity federation, certs, vulnerability scanning/patching, zero trust).
- Oversee storage strategy (SAN/NAS, object/block storage, backup/recovery, tiering/archiving) with HA, replication, snapshots, deduplication, compliant retention.
- Lead endpoint/mobile device management (Windows/macOS/mobile lifecycle, patching, baselines, automation; MDM such as JAMF with Intune integration).
- Build/scale global Service Management/Helpdesk for ticketing, change control, 24/7 support, VIP assistance, and site ops; deliver end-user training (AI platforms/self-service) and troubleshoot AI integrations.
- Define SLAs/KPIs, ITIL processes, observability, automation; streamline cross-region operations; manage vendor/MSP performance and optimization.

Education/Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (CS/IS/Engineering or equivalent); Masterโ€™s preferred.
- 12+ years IT experience; 8+ years senior leadership for global Infrastructure & Operations.
- 8+ years global pharma/biotech clinical operations experience (Phase IIโ€“III trials).
- Regulated industry experience (GxP/SOX) preferred.

Required/Preferred Skills
- Proven global Service Desk/Helpdesk leadership.
- Deep Microsoft Cloud expertise (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune) + strong networking/security/storage/endpoints knowledge.
- Hands-on with global networking (Fortinet/Cisco/Meraki, SD-WAN), security platforms (Fortinet firewalls, Zscaler ZTNA/VPN), enterprise storage, and MDM (JAMF preferred).
- AI tools understanding (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) and experience enabling enterprise AI use.
- Multi-site operations background (US + APAC/China highly valued).
- Vendor/MSP management, $5โ€“10M+ budgeting, project delivery, ITIL.
- Executive communication, cross-cultural leadership, and partnership skills.
