Responsibilities:
- Design and execute strategies demonstrating product value to Health Technology Agencies, supporting commercialization including reimbursement and pricing activities.
- Collaborate with Market Access and Commercial Leads to identify payer evidence needs across the product lifecycle.
- Partner with Global Medical Affairs and Development teams to define evidence generation needs and payer requirements into clinical trial protocols.
- Partner with Biostatistics on statistical plans, subgroup analysis, and clinical protocol designs to reflect payer requirements.
- Monitor and capture global HTA and evidence requirements to inform the internal organization.
- Lead global economic model development; coordinate country adaptations with country teams and external vendors.
- Develop process and quality review for country HTA submissions, especially economic modeling (cost-effectiveness, budget impact models).
- Collaborate with Global Market Access to develop value-based pricing models for cutting-edge assets and rare disease products.
- Lead database analyses (e.g., patient registry data, epidemiologic research).
- Lead health economic-related publication and communication strategies, including presenting at external conferences.
- Assist Marketing/Market Access with training materials and modules related to health economics messages.
- Where appropriate, undertake in-house economic studies (e.g., literature reviews and modeling).
Qualifications:
- Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.P.H., M.S., or M.D. in Public Health, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Medicine, Pharmacoeconomics, Pharmacy Administration, Pharmacy, or related field.
- Minimum 10 yearsβ experience in health economics and/or outcomes research in pharma/biotech.
- Proven ability to develop health economic strategies supporting commercial programs; product launch experience preferred.
- Experience interacting with payers/payer agencies.
- Strong understanding of global reimbursement environment; experience building global/regional health economics and pricing/reimbursement dossiers.
- Strong communication skills; familiarity with basic statistical concepts.
- Interpersonal skills for cross-functional work; strong business acumen.
- Leadership; initiative/self-starter; ability to work independently and in fast-paced matrix environments.
- Knowledge of life sciences market practices; excellent verbal/written communication and presentation ability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills; planning, organization, and time management.
- Travel: ~30%.
