The Senior Director, Global Data Storytelling Communications, leads data communications across Lilly’s therapeutic areas throughout the scientific lifecycle.

Key Objectives / Deliverables
- Own the enterprise data narrative; ensure every data readout, congress disclosure, and publication reinforces the science story.
- Establish a consistent data release playbook across therapeutic areas.
- Serve as strategic partner to Lilly Research Laboratories and TA teams; advise senior leaders for high-stakes data landmarks, congresses, and media.
- Build enterprise congress strategy; coordinate high-impact, unified medical meeting presence.
- Support TA publication strategies with Medical Affairs/TA leads to advance the corporate narrative.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the communications team; set standards and recruit/retain talent.
- Coordinate with other scientific communications pillars and align messaging with Issues Management, Investor Relations, Business Development Communications, and Public Affairs.
- Develop proactive media strategy; build relationships with science/health journalists; drive narrative penetration and positive-to-neutral sentiment.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, science, public relations, or related field.
- 12+ years communications experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare environments.
- Authorization to work in the United States full-time (Lilly does not sponsor visas).

Additional Skills / Preferences
- Experience leading large, matrixed communications teams across multiple therapeutic areas/functions.
- Proven strategic counsel to C-suite/senior executives.
- Experience with clinical data, regulatory landmarks, and scientific congresses.
- Deep understanding of drug development lifecycle and communications implications.
- Ability to synthesize cross-TA narratives; exceptional media relations; strong team-building; sound judgment in ambiguity; proactive narrative leadership.

Location/Travel: Indianapolis, IN; hybrid; domestic/international travel 20–30%.

Compensation/Benefits (as stated): $154,500–$226,600 base; possible company bonus; comprehensive benefits including 401(k), medical/dental/vision, flexible benefits, life insurance, time off/leave, and well-being benefits.
