Senior Director, Global Commercial Transformation
Responsibilities
- Lead coordination and governance of global commercial transformation programs across multiple workstreams.
- Partner with global, regional, and functional leaders to set priorities, clarify accountability, and align on scope, dependencies, and timelines.
- Identify and manage risks, issues, and interdependencies; escalate and enable timely resolution.
- Define and prioritize commercial capability requirements for transformation objectives and future operating models.
- Develop/maintain roadmaps, governance, reporting mechanisms, and leadership updates.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across commercial, strategy, operations, digital, and enabling functions.
- Synthesize complex information and progress into concise, executive-ready communications.
- Support change management, business readiness, and adoption planning.
- Influence across a matrixed global organization and lead through multiple layers without direct authority.
- Contribute to short- to mid-term plans for optimizing commercial organization capabilities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience leading global commercial transformation, strategic program management, business planning, or related enterprise initiatives.
- Strong coordination of complex, cross-functional programs in a global, matrixed organization.
- Ability to drive accountability for deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and decision-making.
- Experience identifying commercial capability gaps and translating needs into transformation plans.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with senior leaders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and risk management skills.
- Clear, concise communication with executive audiences.
- Leadership experience across multiple management layers and geographies.
- Strong understanding of commercial operating models, transformation governance, and enterprise change execution.
- Global biopharmaceutical (or similarly complex, regulated) environment preferred.
Education/Experience
- Bachelorโs degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 10โ15 years in commercial strategy, transformation, operations, or program leadership required; pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
- Experience in a global, matrixed organization strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial pharmaceutical business/operations.
- Previous people leader experience preferred.
