Senior Director, Gilead Global Patient Solutions (GPS) Public Affairs
Responsibilities:
- Lead globally integrated advocacy and communications strategies to advance access to innovation, strengthen reputation, and support sustainable impact across low- and lower-middle-income countries.
- Shape and execute global advocacy, NGO engagement, and communications strategies; establish frameworks, insights, governance, risk management, and measurable outcomes.
- Advance advocacy/public affairs for access to medicines and health system strengthening; design and lead global NGO engagement and long-term stakeholder relationships.
- Develop integrated external engagement plans (patient advocacy, NGO collaboration, media, trade associations, influencers) and lead advisory boards/community forums and capacity-building initiatives.
- Lead GPS region external communications (media, thought leadership, storytelling, reputation management, issues/crisis readiness) and digital/content strategies.
- Partner with internal communications to integrate GPS priorities; scale narratives/toolkits/FAQs; enable local activation with global alignment.
- Proactively manage issues/crises and embed reputation management.
- Define KPIs/leading indicators; use dashboards/insights; lead cross-functional governance and manage budgets/partner performance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelorβs + 14 years relevant experience OR Masterβs + 12 years OR PhD + 12 years.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Global public affairs leadership (pharma/biotech or global health); global comms/advocacy/reputation success in matrixed environments.
- Deep global health + NGO/patient coalition experience; work across multiple regions incl. low- and lower-middle-income countries.
- Influence without authority; executive comms/crisis/digital/social media expertise; strong analytical capability; travel ~30β40%.

Benefits/Pay (as stated): Salary range $243,100β$314,600; may include discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life.
