Position Summary
Senior Director, External Innovation, Neuroscience — serves as subject matter expert for external innovation activities in the Neuroscience development organization. Leads therapeutic area specific search and evaluation; contributes to neuroscience business development strategy and execution and identifies/assesses external assets aligned to internal franchise and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
- Owns/drives business development strategy across asset indications aligned to neuroscience strategy, including Target Product Profile (TPP) and disease area strategy with cross-functional colleagues.
- May lead Diligence Teams for given indications.
- Provides clinical and disease area expertise to integrated disease area/portfolio and therapeutic-level strategies.
- Represents Clinical Development as authority for indication/disease area in external interactions and Business Development support.
- Engages with internal leaders and external investigators, key opinion leaders, and patient advocacy groups.

Qualifications & Experience
- Advanced degree in Life Sciences required (PhD, PharmD, or MD).
- Deep research/translational or clinical development experience in neuroscience; advanced knowledge of drug development, competitive landscape, and health authority expectations.
- Ideally 8+ years relevant experience, including leadership in designing/executing research programs or clinical trials and/or developing preclinical assets.
- Demonstrated people leadership and/or matrix leadership success.
- Strong preference: external innovation/search & evaluation/business development experience.

Compensation Overview
- Cambridge Crossing: $273,900–$331,907; Madison–Giralda–NJ: $244,560–$296,352; Princeton–NJ: $244,560–$296,352 (plus possible incentive cash/stock based on eligibility).
