Essential Job Functions
- Develop and execute integrated HEOR and evidence generation strategies across the product lifecycle.
- Define the future-state vision, structure, and capabilities of the Evidence Generation team.
- Identify evidence gaps and prioritize studies for payer, provider, institution, and patient decision-making.
- Provide HEOR input to clinical development (e.g., endpoint selection and evidence planning).
- Lead development of economic models, budget impact analyses, cost-effectiveness studies, and value dossiers.
- Oversee comparative effectiveness, burden-of-illness, and real-world evidence initiatives.
- Guide patient-reported outcomes (PRO) and health-related quality-of-life research.
- Ensure methodological rigor and scientific validity across RWE initiatives.
- Align HEOR work with medical/brand strategy and commercial interests; own execution decisions and end-to-end delivery.
- Evaluate and acquire novel data sources; oversee retrospective database analyses, pragmatic trials, and outcomes research.
- Manage external vendors/partnerships and collaborate with Publications and Medical Communications for timely dissemination.
Skills and Qualifications
- PhD, DrPH, ScD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., health economics, outcomes research, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health).
- 12+ years of experience in HEOR/outcomes research/epidemiology/market access/evidence generation (pharma/biotech/consulting/healthcare).
- Demonstrated expertise in health economics, pharmacoepidemiology, biostatistics, and/or real-world evidence.
- Experience supporting payer engagement and reimbursement strategy.
- Track record of peer-reviewed publications and major congress presentations.
- Technical strengths: health economics modeling, RWE strategy, comparative effectiveness, PRO/QoL measurement, observational study design, evidence synthesis/systematic reviews, data analytics/healthcare databases, and publication planning.
