Senior Director, Evidence Generation & Clinical Strategy (MedTech Electrophysiology) — Irvine, CA
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Electrophysiology (EP) Evidence Generation Strategy (EGS) process aligned to business strategy, portfolio objectives, clinical needs, regulatory requirements, and market access.
- Orchestrate annual and quarterly evidence planning; collect, consolidate, and prioritize evidence needs across GSM/Regional Marketing, Clinical Research, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, HEMA, Strategy, R&D, and CSER.
- Drive cross-functional alignment and translate commercial/clinical/competitive insights into an actionable evidence agenda.
- Own evidence governance: templates, intake processes, prioritization criteria, and partner alignment mechanisms.
- Partner with CSER to develop integrated evidence plans/study portfolios; lead quarterly reviews for urgent requests.
- Report evidence priorities, status, risks, and data availability to senior leadership.
- Support clinical and medical affairs study strategy (endpoints) and ensure regulatory/claims alignment.
- Serve as an EP authority; support KOL engagement, white papers, publication strategy, and EP conference presence.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Evidence Generation & Clinical Strategy team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in Life Sciences (required). Advanced degree preferred; MD strongly considered.
- 15+ years relevant experience in Clinical Marketing/Strategy (MD EP clinicians may apply without prior business experience).
- Required: medical devices and electrophysiology or cardiovascular markets.
- Proven evidence-based strategy development; deep clinical trial + regulatory/evidence planning knowledge.
Preferred skills:
- Data-driven decision making, cross-functional collaboration, product portfolio management, KOL/publication & conference experience.
