Role: Senior Director, Engineering for Medical Affairs AI portfolio, responsible for leading the development and deployment of enterprise-scale AI systems. Main objectives include translating architecture and product requirements into reliable, scalable, production-grade AI solutions, and overseeing engineering standards, data integration, and lifecycle management. Responsibilities encompass end-to-end engineering delivery, establishing technical quality and security practices, managing a build team of four engineers, and collaborating with solution architecture and product management peers. The role demands hands-on technical expertise in AI/ML, LLMOps/MLOps, cloud architecture (AWS/Azure), CI/CD, and data pipelines, ensuring production reliability, compliance (GxP, HIPAA, GDPR), and responsible AI safeguards. It involves cross-functional partnership with architecture, security, and digital teams, as well as talent management and fostering an AI-engineering culture. Qualifications require a bachelorโ€™s degree in a technical field, 12+ years in software/data engineering, with 4-5+ years in leadership, and proven experience delivering enterprise AI/ML systems. Preferred qualifications include a masterโ€™s degree, regulated industry experience, and relevant certifications. The position is hybrid, based in NYHQ or PA-Collegeville, with travel as needed. It reports to the Lead of Medical AI Acceleration and Delivery, emphasizing technical excellence, strategic impact, and cross-team collaboration to support Medical Affairs' AI-driven initiatives.
