Key Objectives / Deliverables
- Develop overarching communications strategy for Lillyโs emerging science portfolio; build platform-level/category-creation narratives (e.g., genetic medicines, new modalities).
- Create executive storytelling: develop speeches, presentations, and storytelling modules for Chief Scientific Officer, BU Leaders, and LRL Leadership Team.
- Build enterprise scientific narrative: reusable storytelling modules for consistent, compelling communication across Global Communications and adaptable for media/scientific/external audiences.
- Drive communications for scientific community/major congress engagement; develop early-stage narratives to build awareness/credibility.
- Monitor competitive landscape; develop proactive positioning and messaging frameworks.
- Lead emerging science media strategy; build relationships with journalists (science/biotech).
- Partner cross-pillars to ensure narratives are data-grounded and aligned with consumer-facing strategy.
- Lead and develop team (Associate Director(s), Scientific Innovations Manager(s)); manage agency partners/external resources; support talent pipeline.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree in communications, science, public relations, or related field.
- 10+ years of communications experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/healthcare.
- Authorized to work in the United States full-time; no visa sponsorship.
Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated base pay: $154,500โ$226,600.
- Company bonus eligible.
