Role Summary

Senior/Executive Director (M3/M3-2), CT Manufacturing and Materials Management. Leads development, oversight, and management of pan-R&D business systems for raw material and Drug Substance/Drug Product supply chains and materials management services within Clinical Material Delivery, ensuring GxP compliance, technical excellence, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • CT Site Sourcing and Materials Management: supervise and develop the supply network, manage site source evaluation and final site selection, partner with QA and other stakeholders, and oversee portions of Materials Management across the CT supply chain.
  • Operational Excellence, Quality Assurance And Safety: engage in strategy to ensure quality and continuous improvement, establish metrics, drive improvement, address deviations, manage staffing strategy for CT Manufacturing and Materials, foster collaboration and inclusion.
  • Strategic and Business Planning: develop and align Clinical Material Delivery strategy and plans with functional area partners; collaborate with drug development partners and third-party partnerships; align budgets and financial targets.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: partner with CSD, PRD, Finance, and Capital Planning to support leadership in target setting, budgeting, and execution across the CT Manufacturing and Materials organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences) or supply chain.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience (Clinical Manufacturing, Supply Chain, CMC, Commercial Manufacturing).
  • 4+ years’ experience in people management.
  • Experience with Operational Excellence principles; ability to lead improvement initiatives; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Professional licenses or certifications (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma, Lean, Project Management, Supply Chain Certificate) are preferred.
  • Experience operating in a regulated environment; strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; strong self-management and organizational skills; ability to lead cross-functional teams; change management experience.
  • Ability to maintain a portfolio view of work and manage multiple teams with varying priorities.
