Senior Director - Construction Manager - GFD,

Role: Construction Manager leading large-scale capital projects ($1BN+) in pharmaceutical manufacturing at Eli Lilly, overseeing design, construction, and commissioning of medical facilities. Objectives include delivering safe, compliant, and efficient project execution aligned with GMP, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Responsibilities encompass supervising 3–5 direct reports, managing field operations from detailed design to mechanical completion, controlling budgets, and ensuring adherence to schedule, safety, and quality benchmarks. Acts as primary liaison between construction teams and project leadership, facilitating communication and issue resolution. Ensures compliance with company policies, GMP, and regulatory frameworks, while leading safety and environmental programs. Qualifications include a BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, with 20+ years of experience managing large industrial or pharmaceutical construction projects, preferably with GMP and biopharma manufacturing facilities (e.g., sterile, API, lab). Preferred skills involve PMP or CCM certifications, experience in GMP construction, LEAN principles, and managing international or multi-site projects. The role requires full relocation, international/domestic travel (~15-30%), and onsite presence at project sites. Collaboration spans GFD leadership, project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, reporting directly to the Associate Vice President, Global Facilities Delivery.
