Senior Director, Commercialization Technology Architect

Role: Senior Director, Commercialization Technology Architect, responsible for establishing and governing enterprise architecture frameworks to enable scalable AI and digital solutions in Vertex's commercial and medical ecosystems. Responsibilities include defining target-state architectures, design standards, and integration patterns across systems like Salesforce, Veeva, and data platforms; ensuring data interoperability, security, and compliance with GxP, SOX, and privacy regulations; and providing guidance for solution delivery. Candidates should have deep expertise in enterprise architecture, solution design, distributed systems, and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Snowflake), CRM systems, and AI/ML architectures. Preferred backgrounds include 12+ years in solution architecture within regulated healthcare or biotech environments, with proven experience in integrating complex systems at scale and designing AI-enabled solutions. The role requires a Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Collaboration involves partnering with Data, Engineering, and Product teams, serving as the final authority on architecture reviews, and ensuring solutions are production-ready. The role is hybrid or on-site, with flexibility, and involves engagement with enterprise-wide systems in a regulated context.
