Senior Director, Clinical Research-Program Executive-Oncology

Role: Senior Director, Clinical Research Oncology Program Executive, leading the development and strategic planning of one or more oncology programs within Vir Biotechnology. Responsibilities: define and drive program vision, oversee cross-functional teams, align stakeholders, manage resources and budgets, and ensure regulatory and clinical milestones are achieved. Act as a key interface with executive leadership, representing programs at senior forums, and mentoring team members. Responsible for integrated development plans, translational strategies, and external collaborations. Qualifications: MD or PhD (board-certified in Oncology or Hematology-Oncology preferred), 15+ years of biotech/pharma experience with extensive oncology drug development expertise, proven cross-functional leadership in matrix environments, and experience guiding programs through critical inflection points. High-Value: Oncology, biologics or small molecules, late-stage development (proof of concept, pivotal, regulatory submission), international collaboration, and cross-disciplinary integration including clinical, regulatory, and commercial functions. WorkSetup: Onsite in San Francisco with at least 3 days per week in-office, requiring domestic and international travel.
