Role Summary

Senior Director - Clinical Development - Oncology. Lead cross-functional clinical development of assets and programs, delivering high-quality clinical plans, managing risk, and accelerating development. Mentor and develop individuals within the Clinical Development organization and collaborate across functions to craft viable clinical scenarios and complete trial packages for rapid trial execution.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of accountability for cross-functional clinical development of assets and/or programs
  • Deliver complete clinical trial packages that enable rapid transition into trial execution
  • Support key clinical results in preparation for submission, inspections, and publication
  • Mentor and develop team members within the Clinical Development organization
  • Collaborate with asset teams to build asset profiles and translate strategies into clinical plans
  • Maintain risk plans during trial implementation and promote broad cross-functional collaborations
  • Oversee budget planning, monitoring, and control of the clinical plan
  • Represent the clinical delivery function at core team meetings and ensure efficient, streamlined processes
  • Communicate information effectively and appropriately to stakeholders
  • Nurture a culture of innovation and inclusion and engage in continuous improvement and inspection readiness

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs Degree, preferably in a scientific or health-related field
  • Minimum of 8 yearsโ€šร„รด experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical research
  • Experience leading complex/cross-functional projects and/or clinical trials
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship expected)

Skills

  • Strong business insight, problem solving, and agility
  • Understanding of competitive landscape and external learning integrated into design
  • Ability to accelerate asset development and translate strategy into clinical plans
  • Effective stakeholder communication and collaboration across functions
  • Project prioritization and state of inspection readiness

Education

  • Relevant advanced degree preferred (Pharm D, M.S., Ph.D.)
