Role Summary
Senior Director - Clinical Development - Oncology. Lead cross-functional clinical development efforts for Oncology assets, acting as single point of accountability for asset/program clinical development, delivering high-quality clinical plans, managing risk, and accelerating development. Mentor and develop team members within Clinical Development and across the organization. Collaborate with asset teams to build robust asset profiles and viable clinical scenarios, delivering complete clinical trial packages to enable rapid trial execution.
Responsibilities
- Act as single point of accountability for cross-functional clinical development of assets and/or programs
- Deliver high-quality clinical plans that enable efficient execution and proactively manage risk
- Identify and pursue novel development approaches to accelerate asset development
- Champion asset strategy development and translate it into the clinical plan across Clinical Trial Management staff
- Monitor external landscape and ensure external learning informs design; adapt to external data quickly
- Maintain risk plans during trial implementation and promote broad collaborations
- Oversee budget planning, monitoring, and control of the clinical plan
- Represent the clinical delivery function at core team meetings and ensure efficient processes
- Document and communicate information effectively as needed
- Nurture a culture of innovation and inclusion; drive continuous improvement and inspection readiness
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs Degree, preferably in a scientific or health-related field
- Minimum of 8 yearsβ experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or clinical research
- Experience leading complex/cross-functional projects and/or clinical trials
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship anticipated)
