Role: Senior Medical Director providing strategic and scientific leadership for oncology development programs, from early research through registration. The position involves stakeholder engagement with investigators, key opinion leaders, and external agencies, along with presenting data at scientific forums. Requirements: MD/DO with 6+ years of clinical, scientific, or drug development experience, preferably in biopharmaceutical oncology. High-value specifics: focus on cancer therapies, particularly cell or gene therapy modalities like CAR T-cells; experience with early to late-stage development, INDs, proof-of-concept, and registrational trials; involvement in global regulatory submissions; strong leadership in cross-functional teams; ability to influence and mentor. Preferred: Board certification in Hematology/Oncology, experience in autologous/allogeneic cell therapies, and demonstrated publication record. Work setup: based in Santa Monica, CA, with up to 25% travel; part of a biotech advancing cancer immunotherapies, including CAR T-cell platforms.
