Senior Director, Clinical Development (MD)

Role: Senior Director, Clinical Development at Madrigal Pharmaceuticals, leading strategic and operational oversight of the company's pipeline focused on metabolic and liver diseases, including MASH. Responsibilities: steer three clinical-stage programs and seventeen studies from early to late-stage development; design and oversee Phase I–III trials, including FIH, proof-of-concept, and registration studies; develop integrated Clinical Development Plans aligned with regulatory and commercial objectives; serve as medical lead in regulatory interactions and submissions; collaborate cross-functionally with Translational Medicine, Nonclinical, CMC, Regulatory, Clinical Ops, and Commercial teams to ensure scientific rigor, safety, and timely delivery. Requirements: MD or MD/PhD with >10 years of clinical development experience, including success in regulatory engagement and trial design; board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Hepatology, Gastroenterology); strong leadership and communication skills; experience supporting NDA/MAA submissions, preferably in liver or metabolic disorders.
