Senior Director, Clinical Development (Chronic Weight Management)
Responsibilities:
- Support development, execution, and communication of the global scientific/medical evidence plan
- Support cross-functional/global collaborations to integrate medical, scientific, and commercial input
- Develop external relationships with opinion leaders
- Provide clinical input into safety and regulatory interactions
- Provide clinical/scientific input during development and execution of clinical trials
- Interpret clinical trial data; participate in safety assessments
- Participate in interactions with regulatory agencies
- Author CSRs, publications, and regulatory submissions
- Develop key opinion leaders; present at advisory boards/meetings as delegated
- Identify new clinical research opportunities
- Support in-licensing/out-licensing activities and partner relationships
- Support product lifecycle management for new indications
- Provide clinical content input to regulatory and safety documents and materials for Scientific Affairs and Commercial Organization
Basic Qualifications:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- 5+ years clinical research and/or basic science research experience
- 5+ years managerial experience managing people and/or leading teams/projects/programs and directing resource allocation
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years with clinical teaching and patient care, particularly obesity/chronic weight management/sleep apnea
- Biopharmaceutical clinical research experience (biotech/pharma/CRO)
- In-depth understanding of scientific method and clinical applications
- Clinical trial design familiarity including biostatistics
- Knowledge of GCP, FDA and EMEA/CHMP regulations and applicable international requirements
- Strong written/oral communication of complex medical/clinical concepts
