Senior Director, Chief of Staff (CoS) to the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer (CLO)
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CLO to shape, prioritize, and advance critical initiatives (including executive committee priorities).
- Anticipate needs, synthesize information, prepare the CLO for engagements/decisions, and support external stakeholder interactions (patient advocacy, external affairs, board).
- Build cross-functional relationships and prepare executive-level materials (board content, strategic briefings, leadership communications).
- Drive execution by monitoring initiatives, tracking decisions/action items, surfacing risks, removing roadblocks, and simplifying processes.
- Own the operating cadence for the CLO leadership team (agendas/materials, decisions, follow-up).
- Support operations: manage budget with Legal Ops/Finance; align calendars and drive initiatives (town halls, summits, training, engagement); lead CLO Org communications.
- Advance AI/technology transformation and support talent strategy (hiring, onboarding, development, org design, headcount planning) while advancing DEIB.
Required
- Bachelorβs degree.
- 10+ years in senior roles (e.g., consulting, strategy, business operations).
- Travel domestically/internationally as needed.
- Based in the United States.
Preferred
- MBA or JD.
- Biopharma/healthcare multi-divisional experience.
- Exposure to C-suite advising, board engagement, executive decision support.
