Position Summary
- Partner with the VP, Corporate Communications to shape and execute an integrated CEO communications approach, translating enterprise priorities into clear, compelling messaging and ensuring consistent reflection of the CEO’s voice across key internal and external engagements.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the VP to shape CEO communications strategy; provide insights, recommendations, and draft approaches aligned to enterprise priorities.
- Serve as lead writer for the CEO; translate strategic direction into clear, actionable communications plans and ensure consistent execution across CEO engagements.
- Lead end-to-end planning and delivery of CEO communications across internal and external platforms; ensure alignment, quality, and impact.
- Independently drive select CEO communications initiatives (e.g., thought leadership platforms, internal engagement moments) from concept through execution.
- Develop and/or oversee high-impact CEO content (speeches, town halls, prepared remarks) for external engagements; step in for critical moments as needed.
- Shape and refine messaging for clarity, consistency, and alignment with enterprise narrative and priorities; maintain cohesive voice/tone/positioning across channels/audiences.
- Support preparation for CEO external engagements (speeches and talking points) for non-media settings; partner with Media Relations to align prepared remarks with broader external communications strategy.
- Partner with the Chief of Staff and senior leaders to align CEO communications with business priorities and leadership agendas.
- Act as a central connector across Corporate Affairs and key functions to ensure integrated, enterprise-wide messaging.
- Build relationships with senior stakeholders to inform messaging and support effective storytelling.

Qualifications Required
- Significant experience supporting and advising senior executives; experience working with C-suite leaders.
- Strategic partnership mindset; ability to bring forward ideas, shape messaging, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong executive presence and judgment in complex, high-visibility environments.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling; experience developing executive-level communications for high-impact moments.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English, or related field.
- 15+ years progressive experience in corporate/executive communications in a large, complex, matrixed organization.
- At least 4+ years senior leadership experience with direct advisory responsibilities at executive/C-suite level.
- Demonstrated expertise developing/executing CEO or C-suite communications strategies across internal and external audiences.
- Proven experience crafting high-impact executive content (speeches, talking points, town halls, written leadership communications).
- Track record managing sensitive, high-stakes communications with discretion.
- Exceptional written/verbal communications; ability to authentically reflect executive voice.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Media Relations, Legal, Government Affairs, and other enterprise partners.

Preferred
- Advanced degree (MBA or master’s in communications or related).
- Biopharmaceutical/life sciences/healthcare industry experience.
- Familiarity with global communications and diverse stakeholder audiences.
- Experience supporting CEO/enterprise thought leadership and external positioning strategies.
