Role Summary
- Senior Director, Business Strategy & Operations – Office of the CCO. Reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and partners daily with the Commercial Leadership Team.
- Full-time position based in Waltham, MA.

Primary Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the CCO to identify, frame, and resolve highest-priority issues.
- Partner with the CCO and Commercial Leadership Team to assess priorities/trade-offs, prepare key decisions, and translate decisions into action.
- Provide decision-oriented insights and recommendations.

Strategic & Enterprise Initiatives
- Lead high-priority, cross-functional initiatives for the CCO, especially where stakes are high or ownership/coordination is unclear.
- Structure complex, ambiguous business problems; establish decision frameworks and workplans; drive initiatives from problem definition through execution.

Commercial Leadership & Operating Model
- Help shape/evolve the Commercial operating model toward launch and future growth.
- Establish an effective leadership operating rhythm (strategic planning, governance, business reviews, decision-making).

Executive & Organizational Effectiveness
- Develop Executive- and Board-level materials (strategic narratives, choices, recommendations).
- Build a high-performing Commercial leadership culture (clarity, collaboration, accountability, effective decisions).
- Support organizational planning and capability-building.

Qualifications / Skills
- 15+ years’ experience, including serving as a strategic advisor to C-suite executives.
- Bachelor’s required; MBA/PharmD/PhD preferred.
- Strategy consulting in life sciences preferred.
- Exceptional analytical/problem-solving skills; strong ability to structure ambiguity into actionable recommendations.
- Proven cross-functional leadership and influence without formal authority.
- Exceptional written/verbal communication; ability to simplify for senior audiences.
- Strong judgment for complex, sensitive, confidential issues.
- Preferred: commercial strategy, rare disease, or product launch experience; experience through late-stage development/growth/transformation/commercialization.
- Strong prioritization and follow-through; highly self-directed; comfortable with evolving priorities.

Compensation
- MA pay range: $233,000–$280,000 USD.
