General Summary:
The Senior Director, Business Operations Lead supports Commercial Manufacturing and Technical Operations (CMTO). Accountable for product-level business leadership across commercial manufacturing, with a focus on CDMO business management, manufacturing performance governance, readiness and growth planning, cost of goods oversight, and scenario-based decision support.

Key Duties And Responsibilities:
- Serve as Business Operations lead for assigned products within CMTO.
- Lead the CDMO relationship; manage priorities, risks, and requirements.
- Lead product-level business position in governance forums against KPIs.
- Define readiness/growth requirements; monitor progress and support vendor/network changes.
- Maintain end-to-end understanding of CDMO/site performance (trends, risks, opportunities) and implications to strategy.
- Establish/monitor/evolve product-level KPIs (cost, efficiency, service, operational performance).
- Develop performance dashboards and management reporting.
- Own COGM: set cost expectations, assess cost drivers, track COGM reduction plans.
- Drive decisions on capacity, sourcing, continuity, supply risk, and network.
- Partner with Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing Operations, Legal, and Finance on contract structures.
- Lead commercial manufacturing scenario planning for DST/enterprise/manufacturing assessments.
- Translate priorities into plans with milestones, decision points, accountabilities, and success measures.
- Identify/escalate risks/dependencies/gaps and recommend actions.
- Prepare executive-level materials for leadership reviews and strategic planning.
- Contribute to CMTO business operations process/tool/governance development.

Knowledge And Skills / Qualifications:
- Significant experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical/other highly regulated industries.
- Experience supporting manufacturing/external manufacturing/CDMO management/technical operations processes.
- Product-level business management experience (governance, cost oversight, performance monitoring, cross-functional decision support).
- Proven COGM assessment, tracking, and cost improvement planning.
- Experience in governance forums (manufacturing performance, supply strategy, business risk).
- Matrix leadership influence without direct authority.
- Strong business acumen; connect operations to product strategy and financial outcomes.
- Excellent written/verbal/presentation skills.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams.
- Experience with SAP, Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheet (or similar).
- cGMP working knowledge; external manufacturing network/vendor selection experience.
- Experience with business cases/decision frameworks for manufacturing network/supply/cost.
- Strong financial acumen; global manufacturing/supply experience.

Education And Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Life Sciences, Operations, or related field.
- Typically 15+ years relevant experience in business operations, commercial manufacturing, technical operations, supply chain, finance, strategic planning, or related leadership.

Pay Range:
$218,400 - $327,600 (eligible for annual bonus and annual equity awards).
