Role Summary

Senior Director, Brand Lead reporting to the Vice President, Marketing. Leads brand strategy, execution, and measurement to support commercial success of two lead programs. Develops overarching HCP and consumer marketing strategies, monitors brand performance, and prepares business updates for senior leadership. Works with sales and strategic engagement teams to ensure strategic execution and a performance-oriented culture.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, onboard, integrate, retain, develop, and motivate the Marketing Team with multiple direct reports, including regular performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with commercial leadership on the commercialization strategy and ensure policies, procedures, and infrastructure are in place.
  • Lead brand positioning, branding, campaign, and core messaging.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and execute brand planning, including strategy, budgets, prioritization of tactics, and KPI measurement.
  • Develop HCP and patient multichannel marketing tactical plans for key branded activities to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop promotional materials across multiple channels including personal and non-personal channels.
  • Work with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory to establish a collaborative review process to mitigate regulatory and legal risk.
  • Define success metrics and analyze marketing program performance, optimizing plans to improve impact.
  • Function as thought leader for market and therapeutic area understanding across the organization.
  • Align with Strategic Engagement Team on peer-to-peer education strategy.
  • Develop strategy, execution, and measurement for all digital promotion and media, including omnichannel engagement; lead core media assets and websites using a data-driven approach.
  • Collaborate with Market Research to develop actionable HCP and patient insights; ensure awareness among internal stakeholders.
  • Lead development and implementation of competitive readiness plans across the commercial organization.
  • Oversee brand tactics for all congresses, ensuring alignment with strategy.
  • Develop and manage strategy, planning, and execution for advisory boards and integrate insights to optimize marketing plans.
  • Manage Brand Marketing budget and collaborate with partners to optimize spend and value of investments.
  • Contribute to short and long-term brand forecasting.
  • Partner with training and sales leadership to optimize development and utilization of personal promotion resources; deliver field force training and communications as needed.
  • Collaborate with sales and field medical leadership to optimize engagement with customers and adapt field operations as necessary.
  • Manage agency partner relationships to ensure marketing excellence and flawless execution of key tactics.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines governing commercial and scientific interactions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or equivalent degree preferable
  • 10+ years biopharma experience including oncology launch experience
  • 5+ years commercial oncology experience in the US market including marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and communicate at all levels
  • Experience recruiting, onboarding, managing, coaching, and retaining top talent; ability to lead and mentor multiple direct reports
  • Strong knowledge of analytics and operations tools/technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentations
  • Up to 20% domestic travel
