This role leads biostatistics and serves as the DQS Lead, translating complex data into decision-shaping insights that inform program strategy, governance, and regulatory decisions.
Accountabilities
- Uses leading edge knowledge to lead highly complex projects; provides in-depth analyses and recommendations to senior management.
- Develops strategy for the area managed and directly contributes to the strategy of the function.
- Decisions impact the broader organization, region, or multiple sites.
People Management Accountabilities
- Provides leadership and direction through multiple levels of managers and/or expert-level individual contributors across varied departments.
- Directly accountable for performance and results of a large department, region/key market, or complex/multiple sites.
- Develops function strategy and contributes to broader organization strategy development.
Key Responsibilities
- Develops and reviews statistical analysis plans aligned with study objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Provides expert statistical guidance for clinical development plans, study protocols/reports, regulatory submission documents, and publications.
- Provides statistical leadership/support for feasibility assessments, complex study designs, regulatory meetings, submissions, and follow-up.
- Manages external partner/vendor relationships to ensure quality and timeliness of statistical deliverables.
- Leads development/adaptation of new statistical methodologies, keeping current with regulatory guidance.
- Leads and oversees the biostatistics team to deliver statistical analysis plans and reports for clinical trials.
