Senior Director, Biomarkers, Immunology

Responsibilities:
- Lead development and execution of immunology/autoimmune biomarker strategies with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Oversee biomarker assay development, validation, and execution across platforms (e.g., flow assays, immunoassays, genomic assays, NGS, imaging biomarkers) at CROs and internally, including data analysis guidance.
- Translate preclinical discoveries into clinical biomarker strategies; identify mechanism-relevant biomarkers to support drug tailoring hypotheses.
- Manage and mentor a biomarker team; align best practices across global sites and partner teams (PCS, Research, Translational, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, Bioinformatics).
- Liaise with internal/external stakeholders, including diagnostic vendors and scientific partners.
- Communicate complex biomarker strategies to cross-functional teams and senior leaders; drive enterprise thinking and deliver project milestones.

Knowledge/Skills (required/preferred):
- Advanced immunology, biomarker development, and translational medicine expertise.
- Experience in autoimmune disease research or immunology therapeutic pipelines.
- Demonstrated fit-for-purpose assay development/assay validation expertise.
- Strong written/verbal communication; ability to present complex science; strategic/agile thinking; experience across early and late-stage programs preferred.

Education/Experience (required):
- PhD in Immunology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Molecular Pharmacology (or related) + 11+ years; or Masterโ€™s + 15+ years; or Bachelorโ€™s + 20+ years.
- Typically 5+ years managing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to translate preclinical biomarkers into clinical application.
