Role Summary
Senior Director of Alliance Management for Cardiopulmonary & Ophthalmology in the Innovative Medicine group. Based in Titusville, NJ; or Raritan, NJ; or Springhouse, PA. Leads strategic alliances, crafts partnerships, negotiates alliances, and oversees post-deal objectives and day-to-day activities within the Cardiopulmonary and Ophthalmology portfolio, ensuring effective collaboration among internal and external partners.
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic alliances within the Cardiopulmonary and Ophthalmology area of the Innovative Medicine Group, including providing input for crafting partnerships and negotiating alliances.
- Drive post-deal strategic objectives and shape the relationship between partners, ensuring day-to-day activities are delivered.
- Establish clear communication lines across the partnership and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to anticipate and resolve issues.
- Report to the Business Development Vice President and oversee multiple alliances with varying complexity, including direct reporting relationships.
- Lead partnership integration through all development and commercialization phases, including negotiation of subsequent agreements and evolving ways of working.
- Implement Alliance Management programmatic processes and tools tailored to the allianceβs scope and needs.
- Foster coordination and alignment of all internal and external partners to the alliance goals;
- Participate as a member of internal and joint R&D and commercial project teams; facilitate joint alliance governance meetings and decisions.
- Communicate openly and proactively across all levels of the partnership, including Senior Management, and anticipate or resolve conflicts arising from changing priorities.
- Monitor progress of contract obligations and milestones and assess partner satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Required: A BS degree.
- Preferred: An advanced degree (MS, MBA, Ph.D., etc.) in a scientific, technical, or commercial field.
- Required: Minimum of 10 years of related experience in a scientific, technical, or commercial organization.
- Preferred: Experience in operations or program management.
- Required: Experience developing and managing timelines, budgets, and similar details on multiple large-scale projects or in a significant line capacity.
- Required: Leadership experience in a large Cross-Functional team environment with ability to mobilize and align diverse groups across functions and companies.
- Required: Understanding of drug development and global commercialization.
- Required: Strong problem solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills; experience working with senior levels within the organization.
- Required: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
- Required: Ability to manage Cross-Functional complexities, think strategically, and exercise good judgment.
- Required: Travel up to 20% as needed.
