Role Purpose:
- Program Manager for AIRx: operational and strategic integrator for a high-velocity drug discovery model delivering candidates at biotech speed within an enterprise.
- Help scientists decide better and faster; design an operating model other Takeda Research teams will adopt.
Key Accountabilities:
- Own integrated program strategy execution framework (concept to candidate nomination).
- Translate scientific/functional plans into actionable integrated plans (milestones, critical path, decision points).
- Drive decision readiness and real-time program health; identify/resolve bottlenecks.
- Lead end-to-end integration across internal teams, CRO partners, and functions (e.g., DMPK, Safety, Structural Biology, IVR).
- Establish governance strategy (including PRC/executive discussions) and decision-oriented materials.
- Lead early risk identification/escalation; scenario planning and mitigation.
- Coordinate CROs/external collaborators; manage deliverables, timelines, and data handoffs.
- Own budget tracking/forecasting and cost-to-milestone transparency.
- Codify best practices; develop repeatable Labs of Tomorrow model frameworks.
Education & Experience / Requirements:
- Bachelorβs (23 years) or MS (21 years) or PhD (15 years) in science/management-related discipline.
- 8β10+ years program management in early and late drug discovery (program manager).
- PMP certification required.
Preferred:
- Experience in fast-paced, resource-constrained/biotech-like environments.
