Clinical Research and Development
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead quantitative pharmacology strategy across the oncology portfolio; develop and execute long-range plans integrating MIDD, pharmacometrics, data science, and Bayesian modeling to accelerate and de-risk development.
- Partner with Clinical Development, Translational Medicine, Biostatistics, Regulatory, and Data Science to define modeling strategies influencing program design and decisions.
- Oversee advanced pharmacometrics modeling (population PK/PD; tumor dynamics and survival; models supporting dose selection, clinical design, and benefitโrisk).
- Champion Bayesian methods (hierarchical/joint modeling; prior-data integration); ensure regulatory-grade pharmacometric deliverables for submissions, label negotiations, and scientific advice.
- Stay current with AI/ML and promote innovation in modeling tools and analytics.
- Lead and mentor a team of quantitative scientists; foster scientific rigor and collaboration.
- Collaborate to design model-informed clinical trials; integrate modeling into decision frameworks.
- Support regulatory strategy via pharmacometric reports and presentations; represent the company externally.
Minimum Education
- Ph.D. in relevant discipline with at least 10 years pharmaceutical drug development (including substantial pharmacometrics experience) OR
- Masterโs/PharmD/equivalent with at least 15 years drug development and demonstrated leadership.
Required Experience/Skills
- Deep MIDD expertise in oncology; advanced pharmacometrics (Bayesian hierarchical/joint tumor-survival/drop-out/MBMA; trial simulation; PROs/RWD in NLME).
- Hands-on NONMEM/Pumas/Stan/R and/or Bayesian platforms.
- Advanced analytical skills; oncology endpoint and translational understanding (e.g., ORR, PFS, OS).
- Impact across multiple modalities (e.g., ADCs, TCEs, mAbs, cytokines, small molecules).
- Strong written/verbal communication and ability to influence in matrixed environments.
Preferred Skills
- AI/ML integration; Bayesian models; ML; PK/PD modeling; population pharmacokinetics.
