Role Overview / Responsibilities
- Partner with Pharmacology, DMPK, Toxicology, and Translational Science leaders to shape and deliver the technology roadmap for non-clinical decisions.
- Lead deployment of GenAI/agentic and predictive AI/ML capabilities for non-clinical workflows (predictive safety, in silico DMPK, histopathology image AI, study design support).
- Ensure non-clinical data is captured with high fidelity and flows cleanly to downstream curation by the R&D Data organization.
- Work with scientific, quality, and operational stakeholders to support animal welfare data, IACUC-related processes, and study-governance workflows.
- Enable non-clinical safety signal detection and risk characterization via analytics, integrated data flows, and decision-support tools.
- Partner with Development teams to feed clinical findings back into non-clinical model validation/refinement.
- Ensure operational excellence and reliability of non-clinical applications, modeling environments, and analytics.
- Lead/develop a team of scientific technologists, AI/ML engineers, product leaders, and application specialists.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelorโs/Masterโs/Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field (Ph.D. preferred).
- 12โ15+ years in pharmaceutical R&D with strong preclinical/translational exposure.
- Deep understanding of in-vivo pharmacology, DMPK/ADME, safety/toxicology, and bioanalytical workflows.
- Proven experience leading non-clinical R&D applications/digital products/AI (predictive safety, in silico DMPK, or histopathology image AI).
- GLP-adjacent regulated environment experience and IACUC-related processes.
- Proven Director/Senior Director leadership.
