Role: Senior DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining secure, scalable Linux infrastructure on-premises and in AWS cloud, primarily focusing on Kubernetes/AWS EKS environments. Objectives include automating infrastructure provisioning, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance, and optimizing performance and costs in production workloads. Responsibilities encompass managing Kubernetes clusters, automating via Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), operating CI/CD pipelines (GitLab), configuring networking, autoscaling, monitoring, and supporting database platforms (AWS RDS). The role involves incident response, security hardening, and cross-functional collaboration with development and QA teams. Requirements: Bachelorβs in Computer Science or related field; 8+ years in Linux Systems Administration, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering; 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch); extensive experience with Kubernetes/EKS, scripting (Python, Bash), Terraform, Docker, Helm, and troubleshooting production environments. Certifications such as CKA are expected; additional preferred qualifications include AWS and Kubernetes certifications, experience with advanced tools (Karpenter, Kyverno, OPA), AI automation, and microservices architecture. The position may involve travel, on-call support, and after-hours work. Location: likely hybrid or remote with some travel. Compensation range: $132Kβ$160K annually.
