Responsibilities:
- Lead and co-create the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint sites, portals, PowerApps, and other digital tools.
- Apply UX/UI, accessibility, and AbbVie brand standards across digital experiences and communications.
- Lead intake, discovery, requirements gathering, and scoping; manage priorities across the portfolio.
- Drive end-to-end design: user research, information architecture, wireframing, prototyping, production, and deployment.
- Deliver high-quality creative work across UX/UI, graphic design, branding, visual storytelling, and video.
- Partner cross-functionally to deliver scalable, compliant, user-centered digital solutions; engage with the Design Center of Excellence.
- Present concepts and recommendations; support adoption through training and enablement.
- Monitor emerging tools/platforms and recommend/pilot capabilities to advance digital maturity and innovation.
- May hire/onboard/manage personnel, vendors, and external resources; may supervise.
- Hybrid schedule (3 days in office) from Lake County, IL headquarters.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, Digital Media, Communications, Computer Science, or related field.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s or Bachelor of Fine Arts; certifications.
- 8+ years in hybrid design/UX/UI/digital product/creative technology or development (2 years in pharma/healthcare/regulatory preferred).
- Expert UX/UI skills (research, IA, wireframing, high-fidelity prototyping, design systems) and ability to navigate end-to-end process.
- Strong visual design (typography, layout, color, hierarchy, branding, visual storytelling).
- Hands-on SharePoint/PowerApps (or similar) design/build experience.
- Proficiency: Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, modern design tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, and project management in complex environments.
- Portfolio required.
- Use/knowledge of AI tools for design workflow enhancement.
- Preferred: Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Power Platform); CMS/databases/front-end tech; conversational/AI-enabled design; Double Diamond/Design Thinking.
- Photography/video production experience (filming, post-production, motion graphics/animation) and familiarity with code (HTML, CSS, JS, JSON, React or front-end principles)
