Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and deploy analytic workflows for spatial multi-omics (target MOA evaluation, biomarker discovery) in neurodegenerative diseases.
- Integrate spatial and single-nucleus multi-omics to create predictive frameworks for interactions among CNS cell types (e.g., neurons, microglia).
- Lead projects to evaluate therapeutic hypotheses, enable precision biomarker discovery, inform translational strategies, and support data-driven decisions across drug discovery programs.
- Collaborate with internal AI/ML teams to incorporate new methodologies.
- Partner with experimental biologists and clinical scientists across discovery/development stages.
- Provide computational/data-analytics input to research strategy and experimental design; interpret in-vitro and in-vivo results.
- Communicate results via written/verbal updates, presentations, proposals, and publications.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in related STEM field (0+ years) or MS (5+ years).
- Deep expertise in single-cell and spatial transcriptomics analysis; preferably in neurological disorders.
- Experience with spatial transcriptomics at single/sub-cell resolution (e.g., CosMx, Visium HD).
- Expertise in AI/ML models (transformers/foundation models) and in silico perturbation simulation.
- Proficiency in Python or R; HPC/cloud; version control (e.g., GitHub).
- Strong collaboration and scientific communication; track record of peer-reviewed omics insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Neurobiology knowledge (esp. neurodegeneration).
- Familiarity with large public single-nucleus multi-omics patient datasets (e.g., ROSMAP, SEA-AD).
- 2+ additional years multi-omics analytics post-degree.
Preferred Skills: foundation model fine-tuning; foundation models; transformer models.
