Senior Data Loss Prevention Analyst

Role: Senior Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Analyst supporting AbbVie's Data Security team to safeguard sensitive data against insider risks. Responsibilities include leading complex investigations from alert to closure, advising on data security controls across endpoint, network, and cloud platforms, developing and tuning DLP policies in Microsoft Purview, and creating Splunk dashboards and reports for monitoring. The analyst partners with legal, HR, compliance, and privacy teams for cross-functional investigations, mentors junior staff, and documents procedures to enhance team effectiveness. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field with 5-6 years of experience in information security, specifically DLP or insider risk. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview DLP and Splunk is required. Strong analytical skills for complex case management and understanding of data classification and regulatory requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, PCI-DSS). Preferred: over 3 years dedicated to DLP/insider risk. High-value: focus on insider risk mitigation, data exfiltration detection, cloud and endpoint security, and cross-platform telemetry integration.
