Senior Data Engineer — Translational Data Products

Role: Senior Data Engineer specializing in translational data products within biopharma R&D, focusing on building, deploying, and maintaining governed, AI-ready datasets across clinical trial, biomarker, omics, and biospecimen domains. Responsibilities: develop ETL pipelines on Databricks and AWS, collaborate directly with translational scientists and data owners to unlock and validate data sources, design robust data models, and support ML/GenAI workloads; ensure data quality, security, and compliance through validation, validation, infrastructure as code, and cybersecurity practices; work within a collaborative, GitHub-driven environment supporting continuous improvement. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 4+ years of experience in data engineering, strong SQL, Python, AWS (S3, IAM, Glue, Lambda), containerization (Docker, ECS/Fargate), and cloud operations skills; experience with clinical, molecular, and assay data, and familiarity with Claude Code platform. Preferred: domain expertise in translational medicine, biomarker sciences, digital pathology, or omics modalities; proficiency with Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and metadata management; partnering with ML engineers and extending Claude Code capabilities.
