Role Summary
Senior Data Engineer II (Operational Business Insights – Quality Data Engineer) responsible for designing and implementing scalable data solutions and platforms to enable efficient data processing, governance, and insights. Works with data engineers, reporting teams, and data scientists to define data requirements, optimize loading processes, and ensure secure, reliable data access across systems. Provides technical leadership and drives innovative data integration and governance initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design & develop scalable data solutions & platforms for efficient data processing & presentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, reporting teams, & data scientists, to understand data requirements & optimize loading processes.
- Build & optimize secure endpoints to facilitate data access, retrieval, & integration across diverse applications & source systems.
- Implement data governance, security measures, & performance optimizations to ensure data integrity & quick, accurate access.
- Provide technical leadership, stay updated with emerging technologies, & collaborate to address data integration challenges & drive innovation.
Qualifications
- Required: BS in Engineering and 5 years of work experience preparing & analyzing data & preparing insights & visualizations in a large, public company.
- Required: 5 years of experience working with database technologies, SQL & NoSQL databases, & analytics; interpreting & analyzing data & sharing issues & insights by creating reports & dashboards for visualization.
- Required: 5 years designing & implementing large data processing, ETL systems, & testing performance of data-driven products.
- Required: 5 years creating, defining, & executing rigorous roadmaps for new data analytics projects & aligning data projects with organizational goals; &
- Required: 5 years managing project stakeholders, business teams, & practicing a business mindset to understand real business issues or requirements.
- Required: 3 years working in cloud technologies, terminologies, platforms, & AWS services.
- Required: 2 years ensuring data quality, integrity, security & governance; &
- Required: 1 year working on machine learning, automation, and latest analytics languages (R or Python).
- Alternative: Masters in Engineering & 3 years of work experience preparing & analyzing data & preparing insights & visualizations in a large, public company.
