Compensation Overview
Tampa, FL (US): $147,948.00 - $157,550.00
Starting range for full-time (FTE); additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available (eligibility-based). Final compensation based on experience.

Responsibilities:
- Integrate data products from diverse source systems using cloud platforms for quality, performance, and scalability.
- Gather requirements with business users and translate them into mapping documents for implementation as data products.
- Define requirements for accessing and managing clinical, pre-clinical, and translational medicine databases.
- Design and implement incremental load strategies.
- Perform unit testing, QA, and troubleshoot data quality issues to improve data integrity.
- Support enterprise data warehousing operations (ETL).
- Integrate multiple data platforms and standardize data processes.
- Collaborate with scientific teams on biospecimen data, patient annotation datasets, and preclinical/translational results.
- Implement Data Mesh strategies.
- Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days/week; up to 10% domestic travel as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science (or related field) and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate work experience as a Data Scientist (or related).
- 5 years experience migrating clinical databases from on-prem to cloud data lakes/warehouses.

Required skills/experience:
- LabMatrix; Informatica; Myriad; Informatica Big Data Management (BMD); Apache Hadoop, Hive, Snowflake
- AWS: Glue, Lambda, Athena, Redshift, S3, Data Zone
- ETL development with AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Informatica PowerCenter (serverless)
- Query optimization with SQL and NoSQL (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, Impala)
- Apache Spark with AWS Athena (real-time processing)
- Data visualization: Spotfire, Tableau, Dotmatics
- Biopharmaceutical R&D data protocols/standards (preclinical, clinical trials, biologics data management, genetic biomarkers, translational research, non-clinical In Vivo)
