Major Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Provide proactive, practical, solution-oriented legal advice to structure, operationalize and communicate BMSโs market access strategy.
- Serve as the primary legal point for the MAx Access Strategy and select Access Field Teams, providing strategic counsel and advice on patient support program materials.
- Advise the MAx team on 340B program operations.
- Collaborate across Neuroscience, Dermatology, CV, Immunology, Hematology & Oncology legal colleagues and the Law Department matrix to deliver comprehensive legal advice.
- Use knowledge of emerging legal and industry issues to inform advice and address legal risk.
- Anticipate and proactively identify legal issues using an enterprise view; provide clear, effective legal advice to support decisions.
- Deliver effective presentations to the Law Department/MAx Department.
- Lead and organize working groups assessing significant legal issues.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Law degree from an accredited US Law School.
- 10+ years of legal experience advising the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry on legal, regulatory and/or compliance; cross-functional interaction experience required.
- Healthcare law experience including advertising and promotion, anti-kickback and bribery laws, regulatory policy, and contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across the business and within the Law Department.
- Superior personal integrity and ethics; exceptional sense of discretion.
- Ability to communicate complex issues clearly, verbally and in writing.
Preferred
- Experience in US market access, patient support programs, sales or marketing.
- Knowledge of US healthcare laws related to drug pricing and the 340B program.
