Senior Counsel, Global Commercial Legal (Oncology)

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key legal advisor to cross-functional Oncology teams on commercial, regulatory, and operational issues (e.g., new product/indication launches, patient support models, marketing/promotion, scientific exchange, regulatory submissions, managed healthcare contracting).
- Provide legal and compliance advice across departments (Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs), including FDA regulations, False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, OIG guidance, PhRMA Code, Sunshine Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and competition law.
- Support development and implementation of legal policies, compliance programs, and training.
- Collaborate internally/externally to manage risk, resolve disputes, and influence outcomes.
- Advise on government-related policy initiatives (e.g., IRA, 340b, PBM reform).
- Translate legal/regulatory/industry shifts into actionable guidance.
- Select and direct outside counsel; define objectives and manage projects.

Qualifications:
Required:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to the bar in at least one U.S. state; meet licensing requirements for the state of practice.
- 5+ years relevant experience (in-house at a pharmaceutical company, nationally recognized life sciences/healthcare law firm, government agency, or combination).

Preferred:
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical laws/regulations impacting drug registration and promotion.
- Business acumen; ability to balance legal risk with enterprise outcomes.
- Strong written/verbal communication; translate legal complexity into business clarity.
- Autonomy and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong organization/time management; ability to prioritize multiple competing priorities.
- Hybrid work (onsite 3+ days/week) in Mettawa, IL or Florham Park, NJ.
