Senior Corporate Counsel (US Litigation & Investigations)

Main Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse litigation caseload, including primarily Talc/Asbestos (plus product liability, general commercial litigation, environmental, and bankruptcy); develop action plans and communicate issues, status, case developments, and litigation risks.
- Manage Sanofi’s Talc/Asbestos docket and provide business operational and bankruptcy advice to the entity holding the Talc/Asbestos liabilities.
- Supervise collection/production of documents while preserving privileges.
- Effectively manage outside counsel spend.
- Analyze complex situations; develop, communicate, and execute strategies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legal and regulatory developments.
- Advise senior Legal management on developments and risk areas.
- Resolve disputes via negotiation or mediation, with or without outside counsel.
- Participate in cross-functional teams; devise novel solutions to problems.
- Demonstrate commitment to compliance and values; escalate issues internally and with outside counsel as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested.

Basic Qualifications:
- BA/BS and Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- 5–7 years of legal experience.
- Licensed to practice law in a US state; in good standing in New Jersey or able to obtain a NJ limited license for in-house counsel.
- Proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, and other corporate standard software (required).

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with a pharma/biotech company, FDA or other relevant governmental agency, or a law firm working on healthcare-related matters.
