Responsibilities:
- Serve as the central leader for global conference and event strategy, owning planning/execution of major industry conferences, regional field events, webinars, and customer programs.
- Manage local events (roadshows, seminars, workshops) with consistent brand presence, customer value, and operational excellence.
- Maintain a proactive, forward-looking events calendar.
- Define and evolve customer engagement strategies for conferences/in-person events aligned to commercial objectives, balancing budget efficiency with impact.
- Lead market intelligence and customer segmentation insights shaping event presence/priorities.
- Evaluate and refine event selections, formats, and spending based on measurable results.
- Own end-to-end event execution (planning to day-of): venue/vendor coordination, contract negotiation, sponsorships, AV, catering, exhibitor management, branded collateral.
- Anticipate operational needs, mitigate risks, and ensure high-standard execution.
- Lead live and on-demand webinar execution and integrate into the events ecosystem.
- Lead end-to-end development of conference creative assets (brief to production), ensuring alignment of brand/messaging/audience needs.
- Manage cross-functional and agency collaboration for creative deliverables (design, content, approvals, print production).
- Oversee quality control and production logistics; troubleshoot and optimize processes.
- Drive communication/alignment and provide timely updates across teams; partner with leadership, product marketing, commercial, brand, and digital teams.
- Own and optimize lead capture with CRM integration and nurturing flows; track engagement, lead quality, pipeline influence, and brand impact.
- Build scalable systems (playbooks, checklists, templates, SOPs) and foster continuous improvement.
- Cultivate association/organizer/vendor relationships; manage contracts/timelines/vendor accountability.
Qualifications:
- 30% travel.
- Strong written and oral communications; proactive, accountable, execution-oriented.
- Self-starter; collaborative and able to work independently in a fast-paced small-team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize and delegate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- Plus: experience in a life sciences/biotech organization.
- 7+ years in conference management and creative development in Biotech, Medical Device, or Pharma.
