In This Role, You Will
- Drive target discovery: Evaluate molecular evidence for target nomination/validation and identify novel I&I disease vulnerabilities.
- Pilot novel methods for target discovery, disease validation, and early patient population hypotheses to advance programs into nomination cascades.
- Define internal criteria for target data packages and early patient population strategy.
- Collaborate with platform/engineering teams to scale analysis methods and accelerate future projects.
- Cross-functional collaboration with biologists, medicinal chemists, translational, and portfolio leads to build data packages for program milestones and investment decisions.
- Present analyses to decision makers and stakeholders.

The Experience You’ll Need
- PhD (computational biology/bioinformatics/systems biology/immunology, etc.) + 3+ years biotech/pharma early drug discovery, OR MS + 5+ years.
- Domain expertise in immunological diseases and target identification.
- Strong understanding of patient genetics and pathway druggability.
- Experience applying probabilistic/statistical/ML methods to integrate complex biological/clinical data in Python or R.
- Exceptional data visualization and cross-functional communication.

Nice To Have
- Build target discovery engines with public/proprietary datasets.
- CRISPR or small-molecule perturbation screens.
- Experience advancing programs from proof of concept to IND.

Working Location & Compensation
- Hybrid role in Salt Lake City, UT or New York, NY (50% office).
- Base salary range: NY $166,980–$220,660; SLC $151,800–$200,600; eligible for annual bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
