Role Summary
Senior Community Liaison (HIV) – Raleigh, field-based, responsible for leading community initiatives to augment the HIV franchise within targeted markets. Develops partnerships with ASOs/CBOs, FQHCs, STI clinics, addiction/methadone clinics, faith-based and cultural organizations, and community pharmacies to improve access to care. Collaborates with Sales & Marketing and cross-functional teams to deliver timely clinical information about HIV treatment and prevention to diverse audiences and decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Lead on all community-related initiatives and augment regional sales of Gilead's HIV franchise within targeted markets.
- Collaborate with Sales & Marketing.
- Deliver timely clinical information on HIV treatment and prevention to culturally diverse patient populations, allied healthcare providers, and high-level decision-makers.
- Establish strong partnerships with institutions and organizations serving these communities (ASOs/CBOs, FQHCs, STI clinics, addiction/methadone clinics, faith-based organizations, cultural/ethnic organizations, community pharmacies).
- Interface with a range of Allied Health Professionals, including social workers, case managers, treatment educators, discharge planners, outreach workers, and others linked to the community.
- Facilitate linkages from these institutions and professionals to underserved patients to improve access to care and treatment for HIV.
- Collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams to develop strategies and objectives designed to increase product growth in untapped, underserved markets.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to establish trust and distill complex clinical concepts for diverse audiences.
- This is a field-based position located in the Raleigh territory.

Qualifications
- Required: High School and Nine Years' Experience
- Required: Associates Degree and Seven Years' Experience
- Required: Bachelor's Degree and Five Years' Experience
- Required: Masters' Degree and Three Years' Experience
- Required: Ability to engage in travel as may be reasonably required, including regular travel within the assigned area
- Required: Satisfaction of onsite visitation requirements of healthcare practitioners within an assigned area, if applicable
- Required: A valid driver's license
- Preferred: BA/BS degree, preferably in the sciences, health or allied health field, or business-related disciplines
- Preferred: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in pharmaceutical sales or related healthcare environment, including 3-4 years in the HIV marketplace
- Preferred: Strong therapeutic knowledge of HIV disease state
- Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of or prior experience working in or with community-based organizations and patient populations in HIV
