Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and secure global Azure cloud environments with advanced networking (ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, Private Link, DNS architecture, multi-region connectivity).
- Deliver scalable, highly available, secure infrastructure for AI/ML, data analytics, regulated enterprise apps, and scientific computing.
- Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep) and end-to-end deployment pipelines.
- Automate provisioning/configuration and compliance workflows using Python (and/or PowerShell).
- Partner with Security, Network Engineering, Application Engineering, and Architecture teams for consistency and operational excellence.
- Lead cloud design reviews; enforce best practices and standard platform/networking patterns.
- Support cloud migrations, operational readiness, disaster recovery, and zero-trust networking; drive continuous improvement (governance, automation, observability, security).

Experience Requirements
- 8+ years cloud infrastructure/networking/enterprise IT architecture.
- 5+ years Azure hands-on engineering/architecture for large-scale cloud networking.
- Background operating globally distributed, highly available, secure mission-critical workloads.
- Regulated industry experience (biotech/pharma/financial services/healthcare) preferred.

Technical Qualifications
- Deep Azure networking (ExpressRoute, Global Reach, Virtual WAN, VPN Gateways, VNets, subnetting, peering, routing/UDRs, BGP, IPAM, DNS/Private DNS Resolver).
- Identity/access controls (RBAC, PIM, IAM patterns).
- Terraform/Bicep and Git-based CI/CD.
- Python (preferred) and/or PowerShell automation.
- Strong troubleshooting of complex networking (routing asymmetry, DNS behavior, SNAT, packet-level analysis).

Preferred Qualifications
- Next-gen firewalls/virtual security appliances (Palo Alto/Check Point/Fortinet).
- Advanced compute/networking (VM Scale Sets, global load balancing, multi-region architectures).
- Multi-cloud networking (AWS Transit Gateway, GCP VPC, hybrid routing).
- SD-WAN/SASE/zero-trust, network diagnostics (Wireshark/tcpdump/cloud packet capture).
- AKS/container networking and service mesh (plus).

Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s in CS/Engineering or related field preferred.
- Certifications desirable (AZ-700, AZ-305, Terraform Associate).

Compensation
- Princeton, NJ, US: $169,150–$204,970 (plus possible incentives/stock based on eligibility).
