Position Summary
Senior Cloud Architect (Senior Cloud Architect) responsible for architecting, securing, automating, and operating global cloud platforms powering AI services, data analytics pipelines, financial systems, and scientific computing workloads.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and secure global Azure cloud environments with advanced networking (ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, Private Link, DNS architecture, multi-region connectivity).
- Deliver scalable, highly available, secure infrastructure for AI/ML, data analytics, regulated enterprise apps, and scientific computing.
- Develop/maintain Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform and Bicep; modular designs, automation frameworks, end-to-end deployment pipelines.
- Build automation in Python (preferred) for provisioning, validation, compliance checks, and operations.
- Collaborate with Security, Network, Application Engineering, and Architecture teams.
- Lead cloud design reviews; enforce best practices and standard platform/networking patterns.
- Support cloud migration, operational readiness, disaster recovery, and zero-trust implementations.
- Drive continuous improvement in governance, automation, observability, and security integrations.

Experience Requirements
- 8+ years in cloud infrastructure/networking/enterprise IT architecture.
- 5+ years hands-on Azure engineering/architecture; large-scale cloud networking.
- Proven operation of secure, globally distributed, highly available environments for mission-critical workloads.
- Enterprise/regulated industry experience preferred.

Technical Qualifications (selected)
- Azure networking expertise: ExpressRoute/Global Reach/Virtual WAN/VPN gateways/VNets, subnetting, peering, routing/UDRs, BGP, IPAM, DNS/Private DNS Resolver.
- Identity/access: RBAC, PIM, IAM patterns.
- Terraform/Bicep + Git-based CI/CD; Python or PowerShell scripting.
- Troubleshooting complex networking (routing asymmetry, DNS behavior, SNAT limitations, packet-level flow analysis).

Preferred Qualifications
- Next-gen firewalls/virtual security appliances (e.g., Palo Alto/Check Point/Fortinet).
- Azure VM Scale Sets, global load balancing, multi-region architectures.
- Multi-cloud networking (AWS Transit Gateway, GCP VPC, hybrid routing) and SD-WAN/SASE/zero-trust.
- Network diagnostics tools (Wireshark/tcpdump/cloud packet capture); AKS/service mesh a plus.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field preferred.
- Desirable certifications: AZ-700, AZ-305, Terraform Associate.
