Senior Clinical Trial Physician, Cell Therapy

Position Summary / Objective
- Primary medical accountability/oversight for multiple clinical trials
- Matrix management across internal/external network
- Manage Phase 1–Phase 3 studies with decision-making capability
- Provide medical and scientific expertise to cross-functional teams

Position Responsibilities
- Medical Monitoring: Lead medical data review (incl. eligibility); partner with Clinical Scientist on site interactions, medical questions/education, and safety management; assess key safety-related SAEs and oversee safety narratives; provide medical strategic oversight for protocol development (inclusion/exclusion and safety considerations); fulfill GCP/compliance and maintain required training
- Clinical Development Expertise & Strategy: Design/develop clinical plans/protocols with strategic focus; provide oversight/accountability for a group of studies; lead benefit/risk analysis in a matrix environment; partner with Clinical Scientists for study execution (site activation, enrollment, adjudication of protocol deviations); build relationships with principal investigators and thought leaders; maintain disease-area expertise (literature review/conferences); provide medical education to study teams/investigators
- Health Authority Interactions & Publications: Serve as medical point of expertise for Health Authority/advisory board interactions; draft clinical content for CSRs/regulatory reports/briefing books/submission documents

Degree Requirements
- MD required (or x-US equivalent)

Experience Requirements
- 5+ years industry and/or clinical trials experience

Key Competencies (required/preferred)
- Clear scientific/clinical communication and presentation ability
- Subspecialty training in applicable therapeutic area desired
- Expertise in scientific method (incl. statistical design/analysis/interpretation) and drug development process
- Ability to execute clinical plans/protocols and strong leadership/teamwork skills

Travel
- Domestic and international travel may be required

Compensation/Benefits (as stated)
- $275,630–$333,998 (Madison-Giralda, NJ; Princeton, NJ); additional incentive cash/stock may apply
