Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a mentor for other CRDs and Clinical Scientists within the same project or therapeutic area
- Provide leadership, build consensus, and coordinate action plans with other CRDs and stakeholders to resolve project-related study issues
- Anticipate potential issues by sharing lessons learned across project and study teams
- Raise study/project-level issues to TA Heads as relevant and share pertinent information within/beyond project teams
- Collaborate with functions to ensure uniform, aligned operational approach (e.g., harmonizing study documents, endpoints, protocols)
- Interact with other CRDs, Global Project Head, PV, Regulatory, and key functional representatives
- Provide medical expertise to clinical studies/registries (except select Exploratory Pharmacology), including protocol development, Key Results, and Clinical Study Reports
- Support clinical development activities: pressure testing/cluster feasibility, medical review/validation of clinical data, and study risk assessment
- Contribute to clinical sections of submission dossiers (CTD for FDA/EMA, filings in Japan/China, and responses to health authority questions)
- Provide medical input for clinical study activities including training, feasibility, data review, and medical information for study teams/investigators
- Serve as the medical reference within the Clinical Study team to ensure medical relevance and integrity of clinical data

Qualifications
- MD or equivalent required (DO, MBBS)
- Medical training or clinical development experience in rheumatology, hematology, transplant, or immunology
- ~4+ years in pharmaceutical industry (late-stage clinical development preferred)
- English fluency (spoken and written)

- Excellent communication skills across functions and with regulatory agencies
- Risk-management approach to challenge decisions/status quo
- Ability to negotiate for operational resources
- Teaching ability; matrix working skills; international/intercultural experience; open-minded/adaptable to digital solutions
