Senior Biostatistician

Role: Senior Biostatistician supporting HEOR, RWE, and Market Access activities to aid drug development and commercialization in rare disease therapies. Responsibilities: conduct statistical analyses of clinical, claims, and real-world data; collaborate with cross-functional teams; develop and review analysis plans, reports, and data specifications; partner with external vendors; ensure compliance with scientific, regulatory, and quality standards. Requirements: Bachelor's in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related; 4+ years in biopharma or healthcare; proficiency in R or SAS; experience with observational data, study design, modeling, and data extraction from SDTM/ADaM datasets; understanding of drug development stages, especially in rare diseases. Preferred: Master’s degree; experience working with CROs; knowledge of orphan or rare disease therapeutics; familiarity with longitudinal, survival, cost-effectiveness analyses; strong communication skills. High-Value: supporting RWE, HEOR, and Market Access in rare disease contexts; clinical trial and observational study analysis; working knowledge of drug development process; international travel (~10%). Worksetup: hybrid, based in San Diego, with some face-to-face interaction and travel.
